"THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION" 20TH ANNIVERSARY LIMITED EDITION MOSAIC PRINT
The year 2014 marks the 20th anniversary of
the 7 time Oscar nominated movie The Shawshank Redemption. This year the city of Mansfield, Ohio will hold the 20th anniversary
celebration on Labor Day weekend. Last
year, Mansfield
hosted the 20 year Reunion for the filming of
the movie. Attending last year’s
reunion was Bob Gunton (Warden Norton),
James Kisicki (Bank Manager), and
myself – Scott Mann (Glenn Quentin). We spent the weekend greeting thousands of
fans and signing memorabilia at various locations. I spent a better part of the weekend greeting
fans at Pugh Cabin, the location
where Renee Blaine (Andy's Wife) and I were filmed in the movie's
opening scene.
In honor of this year's celebration, I have created a Limited Edition 20th Anniversary mosaic
print (edition size will be 250). Using the film's original poster theme, I
added the quote..."HOPE IS A GOOD THING, MAYBE THE BEST OF
THINGS, AND NO GOOD THING EVER DIES" at
the top. The bottom of the print, in a 3D platinum font, is the 20th
Anniversary framed by the years 1994 and 2014.
The mosaic itself is made up of 20,636 tiles, using 765 different
images consisting of posters, books and DVD covers in 29 different languages,
various advertisements from around the world and stills from the movie (that I
personally pulled from the movie on my computer, literally going frame by
frame).
The 24x36 print is made using an
Epson
9800 wide format printer on Epson Premium Luster Photo Paper
(part of the EpsonSignature Worthy line of papers). Each print will be individually printed,
signed and numbered by me at my studio in Cleveland,
Ohio. These prints are only available from me and
not found anywhere else.
I will also have 24x36 unsigned reproduction posters available.
Where can I buy one? Glad you asked.
The LIMITED EDITION prints are available at the YU-MANN GALLERY website.
